Why Cairnstone

A Steady Approach When It Matters

Families often come to us at moments of uncertainty. Our purpose is to bring order and clarity, at a pace that feels right.

Strictly Educational

We share information and organise papers. We do not give legal, financial, or valuation advice — and we say so clearly at every step.

Respectful Pace

Sessions are unhurried. We understand that sorting through a family's documents can carry emotional weight, and we take that seriously.

Your Documents, Your Control

Nothing leaves the family's possession without consent. Our role is to bring structure, not to hold or manage assets of any kind.

Clear Signposting

When a matter requires a solicitor, notary, or government office, we point clearly to the right door — without creating confusion about our own scope.

English-Language Support

We work in plain English, which matters greatly for international families and expatriates in Phuket navigating Thai succession paperwork for the first time.

Lasting Reference Materials

Every session produces a clear, physical or digital folder structure the family can use and update long after our work together is complete.

Take the First Step

Would a quiet conversation help you decide where to start?

There is no obligation in reaching out. We are glad to describe what each session involves and which might suit your family's situation before you commit to anything.

Common Questions

Things Families Often Ask

What exactly is a records organisation session? +

We sit with you to sort and label the documents your family already holds — land title deeds, bank letters, insurance policies, identification papers, and similar records. The result is a tidy, clearly indexed folder system. We do not read documents for legal content or comment on values; we simply bring order to what is there.

Is this the same as getting legal advice? +

No. Cairnstone does not provide legal advice, representation, or any form of valuation. Our information sessions explain general concepts and point families towards the official bodies and licensed professionals — such as solicitors, notaries, or the Land Department — who handle those matters. We are clear about this boundary from the start.

How long does a session take? +

A single Records Organisation session typically runs two to three hours depending on the volume of documents. The Estate Organisation Information Session is usually two hours. The Archive, Inventory & Wishes Programme is spread across several sessions agreed in advance, so families are never rushed.

Do you keep copies of our documents? +

In the Archive, Inventory & Wishes Programme we assist with digital scanning, but all copies — digital and physical — remain with the family. We do not retain or store any personal documents after a session, and we do not have access to them once our work together concludes.

Can you help if we do not speak Thai? +

Yes. Our sessions are conducted in English and are particularly useful for international families and expatriates living in Phuket who want to understand what documents they should hold and where to turn for official steps. We can also describe — in general terms — the types of professionals who handle English-language matters in Thailand.

What are the session fees? +

Records Organisation & Labelling is ฿3,600. The Estate Organisation Information Session is ฿4,600. The Archive, Inventory & Wishes Programme is ฿28,500 for the full multi-session package. Fees are due at the start of each session. There are no hidden add-ons.
